DONNA - Lucia G. Sanchez, 78, died November 30, 2022, at Harlingen Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Armando Sanchez; a son, Roberto Sanchez; grandson, Rogelio Jimenez, Jr.; great-grandson, Zuriel Arriaga; her parents, Gerardo and Guadalupe Garza; and four siblings, Diana Hodge, Bertha Garza, Victoria Diaz, and Macario Garza.
Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her four children, Everardo (Rebecca) Sanchez, Sonia (Rogelio) Jimenez, both of Edinburg, Sandra Sanchez (Jorge) Govea, Arminda (Sergio) Sanchez Valle, both of Donna; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Ramon Garza, Margarito Garza, Teresa Zambrano, Juan Garza.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton Rd. Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
