PHARR - Margarita Sanchez, 66, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Edinburg, Mrs. Sanchez had lived in Pharr all of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elijio Leanos and Evangelina Gallegos; a son, Pedro Sanchez; and a daughter, Debra Ann Davila.
Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Sanchez Sr., of Pharr; four children, Sylvia (Carlos) Garcia, Guadalupe (Olga) Sanchez Jr., both of San Juan, Carlos (Anna) Sanchez, of Hidalgo, David (Naitha Laurel) Sanchez, of Pharr; eight grandchildren, Jacqueline (Jessie) Alvarez, Alexis Garcia, Abby Garcia, Carlos Sanchez Jr., Andrew James Sanchez, Bryan Sanchez, David Sanchez Jr., Ashley Sanchez; four great-grandchildren, Brianna Lee, Sophia Lynn, Liliana Marie, Ahlanni Itzel Alvarez; two brothers, Carlos Leanos, of San Juan, Raul Leanos, of Pharr; and three sisters, Elia Sanchez, of Edinburg, Rosario Luna, of San Juan, Maria Ofelia Rodriguez, of Pharr.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 5:30 p.m. prayer service today, April 17, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
