RUBEN SANCHEZ SAN JUAN — Ruben Sanchez, 75, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He had lived in San Juan all of his life. Mr. Sanchez is preceded in death by his parents, Sixto and Maria De La Luz Sanchez; a brother, Raul Sanchez; two sisters, Rebecca Chapa and Rosa Sanchez. He is survived by his wife, Alicia Sanchez, of San Juan; three children, Nancy Lee Sanchez, of San Juan, Norma Liza Sanchez, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Ruben Roel Sanchez, of San Juan; one grandchild, Alicia Raquel Gomez, of San Juan, the apple of his eye; a brother, Roberto (Belen) Sanchez of Alamo; and a sister, Rosario (Rene) Cortez of Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 20, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
