ADALBERTO SANDOVAL SAN JUAN – Adalberto Sandoval, 81, died Friday, February 8, 2013, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Fronton, Texas, Mr. Sandoval had lived in San Juan most of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gustavo and Encarnacion Sandoval; three brothers, Rogelio, Gustavo Jr. and Fernando Sandoval; a sister, Viola Puente; and three nieces. Mr. Sandoval is survived by his wife, Adelaida “Lala” Sandoval, of San Juan; six children, Norma (Ruben) Puente, Rose (Joe) Campos, both of San Juan, Sandra (Bruce) Kidd, of Orlando, Florida, Antonio (Maria) Sandoval, of Pharr, Diana (Daniel) Ibarra, of Edinburg, Sylvia Garza, of San Juan; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and seven siblings, Amador Sandoval, of Pharr, Maria Zavala, of Elgin, Illinois, Elisa Salazar, Noelia Guajardo, Delia Sandoval, all of San Juan, Juan Roberto Sandoval, of Dallas and Daniel Sandoval, of Houston. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, February 11, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Pallbearers will be Michael Ibarra, Robert Garza, Benny Campos, Sammy Campos, Derrick Suarez and Michael Sandoval. The family would like to thank the staff of San Juan Nursing Home as well as to Dr. Bermudez for the care given to Mr. Sandoval. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
