Joshua Daniel Sandoval, 29, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Julian Sandoval, Sr.; and a cousin, Jeremy I. Sandoval.
Joshua is survived by his spouse, Jennifer Favata; two children, Joshua Jr. and Jace Ramon Sandoval; mother, Teresa "Terri" Sandoval; father, Leonel Gutierrez, Sr.; six siblings, Sabrina Sandoval, Jared Sandoval, Leonel Gutierrez III, Arturo Gutierrez, Denise Gutierrez, Debora Rodriguez; maternal grandmother, Martha Sandoval; paternal grandmother, Mariana Gutierez; six aunts, Mary Lou Jaime, Ellena Sandoval, Maricruz Guerrero, Belinda Gutierrez, Yolanda Gutierrez, Aurora Ramirez; four uncles, Juan Sandoval, Julian Sandoval, Javier Sandoval, Mark Anthony Sandoval; and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Contreras, Khristopher Contreras, Kaleb Jaime, Kai Jaime, Jacob Sandoval, Leonel Gutierrez, III, and Arturo Gutierrez. Honorary Pallbearers, Jared Sandoval and Nevaeh Sandoval.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
