Ignacia Schoolcraft

IGNACIA ROQUE SCHOOLCRAFT MCALLEN - Ignacia Roque Schoolcraft, 85, went to be with her Heavenly Father Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Schoolcraft was born on February 1, 1928 in El Paso, TX and was recently living with her daughter in McAllen. Nancy graduated from Bowie High School in 1946. Ignacia proudly served her country in the US Women's Air Force from October, 1951 to November, 1952 and later joined the El Paso Ladies Auxiliary #6388. She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Juana Roque; three sisters; and two brothers. Nancy is survived by her three children, Donald (Diane) Schoolcraft of Tell City, IN , Theresa "Teri" (Peter) Murphy of McAllen, Philip (Kelly) Schoolcraft of Sugar Land, TX; a brother, Louie (Tina) Roque of Los Angeles, CA; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A rosary and reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the Murphy's residence. Interment will take place at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Houston, TX at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
