Matea R. Sepulveda

EDINBURG - Matea R. Sepulveda, 92, went home to our Lord Friday, January 29, 2021, at her residence in Edinburg, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lyford, TX, Mrs. Sepulveda had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Matea was kindhearted, loved by all, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Luciano S. Sepulveda Sr.; four children, Amalia Garza, Luciano Jr.,Gilberto, and Gabrielito Sepulveda; her mother, Gabriela Rocha; a brother, Juan Gomez; and a sister, Luisa Cervantes.
Mrs. Sepulveda is survived by seven children, Martina Sepulveda, Maria S. (Jose) Pena, both of Edinburg, Maria Guadalupe (Lupe) Villalpando of La Blanca, Carmen Flores, Rosalinda Garcia, Juanita Sepulveda, all of Edinburg, and Hilda (Arnold) Rodriguez of Fort Worth, TX; 24 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary today, February 7, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral services will take place at 12 noon Monday, February 8, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
