Olga Serna

Olga Serna, 84, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg surrounded by her family. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in 1996 and retired for the Hidalgo County Juvenile Department.
She is preceded in death by her two sons, Lorenzo Garza III, Leonel Garza; parents, Alfredo and Maria Teresa Serna; a brother, Alfredo Serna; two grandchildren, Geraldo Campos, and Yvette Perdomo.
Ms. Serna is survived by her five children, Yolanda (Robert) Alvarado, Yvonne (Sylvia) Garza, Diana (Julian) Fragoso, Olga Garza, Librado (Alberto Rodriguez) Garza; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two sisters, Lali Castillo and Maria Teresa Mooney; and her two fur babies, Nuno and Sandy.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. rosary Monday, June 7, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg.
