ALFREDO SERRANO EDINBURG - Alfredo Serrano, 48, died Friday, September 26, 2013, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Mr. Serrano was born in Mexico and had lived in Edinburg most of his life. He was a teacher at Donna High School for six years and was an evangelist at Iglesia De Cristo in Edinburg. He is preceded in death by his father, Miguel Serrano. Alfredo is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Ruby Ann Serrano of Edinburg; three children, Azael Serrano, Amber Serrano and Crystal Serrano all of Edinburg; his mother, Santos Serrano of Alamo; six brothers, Heriberto (Elisa) Serrano, Miguel (Eloisa) Serrano, Victor Serrano, Oscar Serrano all of Alamo, Javier (Rosa) Serrano of Calera, Alabama, Sergio Serrano of Holland, Michigan; two sisters, Raquel (Jose) Salazar of Harlingen and Yesenia Serrano of Bay City, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. Christian service today, September 29, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg.
