EUGENE ARTHUR SHAWN SAN JUAN – Eugene Arthur Shawn, 77, died peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Comfort House in McAllen. Born in McAllen, he had lived in San Juan all of his life. Eugene originally helped start Truck Service Garage in Pharr. He was a crane operator for many years at Mobile Crane Service. After his father’s passing, he continued “Ye Old Clock Museum and Clock Repair Service”. Eugene was also a long time member of HOG Association. Some of his favorite pass time hobbies included, photography, hunting, fishing, music, he also enjoyed long country rides on his Harley and spending quality time with his family. He was much loved and will be missed dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and James Shawn; one sister, Barbara Shawn; and a sister-in-law, Blanca Shawn. Eugene is survived by his wife Mari Shawn of Edinburg; four children, Eugene Arthur Shawn, Jr, Andrea Shawn (Tony) De Luna, both of Edinburg, William Joseph Shawn of San Juan, and Danny (Deyanna Beeler) Shawn of Dallas, TX; 14 grandchildren; one brother, Jim Shawn of San Juan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, July 21, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan
