FELISA RODRIGUEZ SHAWNEE EDINBURG - Felisa Rodriguez Shawnee, 88, died Friday, March 28, 2014, in Edinburg. Born in Mexico, Mrs. Shawnee had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Demetrio Cano; her second husband, Ray Shawnee; a daughter, Maria Eugenia Cano; a grandson, Edward Cano; a sister, Enriqueta Rodriguez; and three brothers, Gonzalo Rodriguez, Jesus Rodriguez and Panfilo Rodriguez. Mrs. Shawnee is survived by three sons, Jose Luis (Janie) Cano, Demetrio (Irene) Cano, Ray (Priscilla Leal) Shawnee Jr., all of Edinburg; five daughters, Maria Carmen (Ernesto) Cramer, of Robstown, Oralia Sarabia, Sandra Shawnee, both of Edinburg, Lucia (Manuel) Perez, of Lamont, California, Maria Cruz (Kevin) Allen, of Sattler, Texas; 24 grandchildren; a great-grandson, Damian Ortiz Martinez; 30 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Trinidad Rodriguez, of Mexico, and Rosario Altamirano, of California. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
