CESARIO SILVA JR.

ALAMO- Cesario Silva Jr., 68, was called to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday June 19, 2010 after a six year battle with cancer. He was born on February 15, 1942 in San Isidro, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cesario and Guadalupe Silva, Sr.; his brothers, Rafael and Roberto Silva; three sisters, Corina S. Morales, Guadalupe Killian and Celia Alaniz.

Cesario, Jr. was a very hard working, loving and humble man. He was a very self less man who always gave of himself to anyone in need. Cesario, Jr. was a devoted son, brother, husband, father but most of all he was an especially proud and loving grandfather. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren and they shared so many treasured moments together, that they will carry them forever. Cesario, Jr will continue to live in his family's hearts and memories forever and will always be loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Thelma Izaguirre Silva; his children, Cesario SIilva III, Catarina S. (Eli) Alvarado, and Cristobal R. (Irma) Silva; his beautiful grandchildren, Cesario IV and Cassandra Silva, Erasmo IV and Caleb Alvarado, Anthony, Brandon, and Corina Silva; a brother, Ruben (Chita) Silva; three sisters, Carmen Olivarez, Criselda Castillo and Teresa Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service, today, June 21, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Pallbearers will be his sons Cesario III and Cristobal Silva, son-in-law Eli Alvarado, nephew Ruben Silva Jr., and close family friends, Armando Casares and Ramiro Salinas.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
