OLGA SILVA HERRERA
EDINBURG – Olga Silva Herrera, 75, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Mrs. Herrera was a life-long resident of Edinburg and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Esequiel Herrera Sr.; a brother, Israel Silva Sr.; and a sister, Guadalupe Garcia.
Olga is survived by a son, Esequiel (Elizabeth) Herrera Jr. of South Riding, Virginia; four daughters, Norma (Oscar) Fuentes of McAllen, Velma (Robert) Schmidt of Edinburg, Thelma Hauck of Georgetown, Texas, Olga Margot (Scott) Campbell of Richmond, Texas; six grandchildren, Katherine, Kaitlyn, Robert “Zeke”, Joshua, Olivia, Austin; and two brothers, Jose Oscar Silva and Gilberto Silva, both of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, November 30, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
