Thelma I. Silva, 77, passed away on February 26, 2022, in McAllen.
The world lost a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a supportive and loving wife to Cesario, Jr. until he went to be with our Lord. She was also always devoted to her children and grandchildren. Thelma was an angel on earth who was easy to talk to and loved everyone that she met. Thelma always gave the best hugs and advice. She was the person that you turned to for help. She was always there for her loved ones with no judgment and all heart. Her children and grandchildren were her entire world. As per her wishes, Thelma enjoyed her last moments on earth being cared for by her children and grandchildren. She has left us with a huge void, but we rejoice in knowing she is now pain-free and in the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Thelma is preceded in death by her loving husband, Cesario Silva, Jr.; her son, Cesario Silva, III; her parents, Ramona Bazan Ysaguirre and Refugio Ysaguirre, Jr.; and sister, Aida I. Davis.
Mrs. Silva is survived by her daughter, Catarina (Eli) Alvarado; son, Cristobal R. (Irma) Silva; six siblings, Elva Gorena, Eulogio Izaguirre, Eva Y. Cantu, Refugio (Ana) Isaguirre III, Melba (David) Villarreal, and Oscar (Melva) Ysaguirre; nine grandchildren, Cesario IV and Cassandra Silva; Erasmo IV, Caleb, and Carolina Alvarado; Anthony, Brandon, Corina, and Natalee Silva; and numerous nieces and nephews.
