JULIO DANIEL SMITH McALLEN — Julio Daniel Smith, 83, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at Village Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in McAllen. Julio had lived in Reynosa, Tamps., MX most of his life. He is survived by five children, Julio D. (Lupita) Smith, Eduardo (Veronica) Smith, Aldo (Irene) Smith, Alexander (Norma) Smith, Joanna Smith, all of McAllen; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, May 7, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
