ALAMO - Joaquina V. Solis, 96, died Saturday, August 20, 2016, at her residence in Alamo.
Born in Donna, she had lived in Alamo all of her life and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo Solis; two children, Francisco and Maria Solis.
Joaquina is survived by ten children, Vicente Solis, Carlos Solis, Ana Elida Lechuga, Maria Del Rosario Vargas, Ignacia Vargas, all of Alamo, Guillermina Solis of Arkansas, Urbano Solis, Rene Solis, Adriana Solis, Guillermo Solis Jr., all of Alamo; 43 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; 66 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, August 22, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
