Mauro Solis Jr., 77, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mauro Solis Sr. and Sabina Alvarado Solis; and a sister, Amalia McDaniel.
Mr. Solis is survived by his spouse, Maria Francisca Solis; four children, Mauro (Mayra) Solis III; Bernardo "Barney" (Miros) Solis, Javier (Erika) Solis, David (Amanda) Solis; ten grandchildren; and seven siblings, Elvira Acevedo, Mateo Solis, Marcela Pena, Hermelinda Macal, Luisa Collett, Santana Solis and Gregorio Solis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Friday, July 8, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Alvarado Cemetery in San Isidro.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
