Sonia Elizabeth Alvizo

Sonia Elizabeth Alvizo, 57, passed away Friday, December 31, 2024, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Valladares Elizondo and Ofelia Garza Muniz; and her brother, Jorge Valladares.

Mrs. Alvizo is survived by her husband, Raul Alvizo; five children, Keren R. Alvizo, Angel Aldape, Noemi Aldape, Jahaziel Sanchez, Merly'Ann Ruiz; son-in-law, Brandon Lerma; grandson, Sebastian Lerma; five siblings, Jose Valladares, Ofelia Valladares, Pedro Valladares, Martha Valladoros and Dulce Valladares.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Monday, January 6, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
