Maria "Cira" Soto Zamaripa, 97, entered eternal rest Saturday, November 5, 2022, at her residence in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Zamaripa Sr.; three sons in law; and one daughter in law.
Maria is survived by 11 children, Maria Alicia (+Ramon) De Leon, Carlos (Julia) Zamaripa, Margarita (Jesus) Reyna, Teresa Zamaripa, Carmen (+Otoniel) Saenz, Patricio (Frances) Zamaripa, Elva (Frank) Martinez, Ysidoro (Catalina) Zamaripa, Janie Zamaripa, Raymundo (+Sylvia) Zamaripa, Cynthia (+Marciano) Martinez; 32 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
