JESUS GUERRERO SR.
EDINBURG - Jesus Guerrero Sr., 85, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at his residence in Edinburg.
Born in General Teran, Mexico, Mr. Guerrero had lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a member of Templo Bethel in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his first two wives, Ortencia Guerrero and Manuela Guerrero; his parents, Rosalio and Maria Guerrero.
Mr. Guerrero is survived by eight children, Idalia (Eliseo) Sanchez, Jesus (Janie) Guerrero Jr., David Guerrero, Eva Guerrero, Ruth Guerrero, Felicitas (Rudy) Chapa, all of Edinburg, Sarah (Keneth) Raines of Alanta, Georgia, Elizabeth (Greg) Garza of Austin, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his present wife, Cruz Guerrero; 27 step grandchildren; and 29 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service, today, August 4, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2011, at Templo Bethel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
