JOHN JOSEPH SWOBODA COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS - John Joseph Swoboda, Jr., 54, died Thursday, July 16, 2015, at College Station Medical. Mr. Swoboda was born on July 14, 1961 to Phyllis and John Swoboda Sr. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. John is survived by his wife, Terri Swoboda of College Station, TX; a son, Joseph Wade (Sofie) Swoboda of Edinburg, TX; and two sisters, Nancy Olmstead Swoboba and Patricia Knierim Swoboba. Visitation will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg, TX. Graveside service will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, TX. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 93 of Mission, Texas. Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg is in charge of arrangements.
