OLGA TANGUMA McALLEN - Olga Tanguma, 84, died Monday, October 8, 2012, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in Los Herreras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Mrs. Tanguma had lived in McAllen all of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leandro Tanguma; a granddaughter, Crystal Tanguma; two brothers; and two sisters. Mrs. Tanguma is survived by seven children, Diana (†Librado) Gonzalez, of McAllen, Ada (Raul) Rodriguez, Leandro (Elida) Tanguma, both of Mission, Homero (Rosa) Tanguma, of McAllen, Orlando (Amelia) Tanguma, of Dallas, Alma (George) Hatch, of Mission, Gloria (Cristobal) Escobedo Jr., of Edinburg; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Fernando Aguirre, of Chicago, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 10, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
