Teresa "Doña Tere" Valdez

MCALLEN- Teresa “Doña Tere” Valdez, 95, died Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at her residence in McAllen.

Teresa is preceded in death by her husband, Roque Valdez; two sons, Javier Valdez and Roque Valdez; her parents, Salvador Medina and Concepcion Barrientos; and six siblings.

Mrs. Valdez is survived by her children, Ruben (Beatrice) Valdez, Araceli (Vern) Skinner, Catalina (Isaias) Flores, San Juanita (Marco) Setien, Teresita (Hector) Nanez and Cesar (Virginia) Valdez; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four siblings; and daughter in law, Aurora Valdez.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary, Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
