ELIUD "SONNY" TREVINO, JR.
FALLS CHURCH, VA - Eliud "Sonny" Trevino, Jr., 52, loving son, brother, nephew, uncle and father to Eliud David Trevino went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 3, 2009 in Falls Church, Virginia.
Born in McAllen, Mr. Trevino was formerly of Pharr and had lived in Falls Church, Virginia for the past 16 years.
Sonny was blessed to exprerience fatherhood, having a son Eliud David Trevino, whom he truly loved.
He attended McAllen High School and made a name for himself on the football field as one of the toughest linebackers to suit out. Definitely, a defensive coordinators dream player. In addition, he also attended Southern Technical College where he received numerous certifications in Computer Technology.
Sonny excelled in auto mechanics becoming a master mechanic and eventually served as Auto Technician and Customer Service Representative for various Automotive Dealers in Fairfax County, Virginia. He would eventually become self-employed in this field which he truly loved. He made many friends through this industry and was proud to have made so many friends in 16 years in Virginia. He will be missed so much by his family and friends near and far.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Magdalena Casares Trevino; and a nephew, Ricardo "JR" Cruz, Jr.
Mr. Trevino is survived by his wife, Patricia Ovalle-Trevino; a son, Eliud David Trevino, both of Falls Church, Virginia; his father, Eliud Trevino, Sr. of San Juan; three sisters, Cynthia Pena of Pharr, Marilu T. Cruz and Zonia (Rolando) Ayala, both of McAllen; a brother, Omar (Debbie) Trevino of San Juan; six nephews, Omar Rene, Rollie, Nick, Idoluis, Omar Jr. and Marcos Aaron; two nieces, Claudia and Alex; five aunts, Esper Trevino, Arabella Bartimus, both of San Juan, Tencha Cruz of West Chicago, Illinois, Esperanza Gonzalez of Pharr and Juanita Puga of Houston, Texas; six uncles, Eleazar Trevino of Temple, Texas, Oscar Trevino, Mauro Trevino, both of San Juan, Kiki Trevino of Alamo, Mage Casares of Pharr and Alonzo Ramirez of West Chicago, Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Friday, August 7, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
