GEORGE THUS PHARR — George Thus, 95, died Monday, February 22, 2016, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Butler, Minnesota, Mr. Thus had lived in McAllen most of his life. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Thus. George is survived by his wife, Rosaura Thus of Pharr; two children, Monty (Linda) Thus of Edwardville, Illinois and Michael (Tamra) Thus of St. Charles, Missouri; three step-children, Marina Moreno of McAllen, Emiliano Moreno of Edinburg, and Pedro Vela of Victoria, Texas; 10 grand children; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will follow. Funeral service are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
