PHARR – Bella Flor “ Mami Chela” Trevino, 55, died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Mrs. Trevino was born in Mexico and had lived in Pharr all of her life. She was a breast cancer survivor and fought cancer for 15 years. “Mami Chela” was a protective grandmother who loved her grandchildren and spoiled them.
She is preceded in death by her father, Rosalio Flores; and one sister.
“Mami Chela” is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mario Trevino of Pharr; four children, Mario A. (Adhasa) Trevino, Sergio A. (Rosalinda) Trevino, Jesse Trevino all of Pharr, and Maritza (Jose Jr.) Gutierrez of San Juan; eight grandchildren; mother, Olga Juarez Flores; eight sisters; five brothers.
Visitation will be held from 11 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, December 12, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service tenatively scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2011 at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Las Milpas and cremation to follow.
