Carolina R. Trevino

CAROLINA R. TREVINO EDINBURG – Carolina “Carito” R. Trevino, 94, died Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. Born in San Benito, Mrs. Trevino had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Carolina was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She was a selfless person always serving others before herself. Carolina was a leader of prayer groups for over 40 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lauro Trevino; and a daughter, Anita Rodriguez. Mrs. Trevino is survived by two sons, Larry Trevino of New Braunfels, Roy (Diana) Trevino of Edinburg; a daughter, Mary Lou Alsbury of Edinburg; seven grandchildren, Robert (Cindy) Alsbury of San Antonio, Carol-Anne (David) Fuentes of Boerne, TX, Mark Trevino of Pearland, TX, Andy Trevino of Austin, Paul Alsbury, Matthew (Kathryn) Trevino, Jonathan Trevino, all of Edinburg; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
