Maria De Jesus Trevino, 73, entered eternal rest Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Penitas, she had lived in Alamo for 35 years and was formerly of San Juan. Mrs. Trevino was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jorge Trevino Sr.; her father, Patricio Rosales; and three siblings, Juan Patricio Rosales, Rebecca Rosales, and Juan Manuel Garza.
Mrs. Trevino is survived by nine children, Juan Patricio (+Dina) Trevino Sr. of Alamo; Nora Irma (Pablo) Cruz of Vallejo, CA, Rebecca (Adrian) Ethridge of San Juan, Jorge (Noemi) Trevino Jr. of Austin, Alberto (Nora) Trevino, Josefina (Ramon Jr.) Palomar, both of San Juan, Esteban (Elida) Trevino, Olda (Josias III) Acha, both of Edinburg, Priscilla (Alejandro) Cortez of Progresso; her mother, Maria del Refugio Gonzales; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Jose Garza, Dora Alicia Garza de Chapa, Maria D. Garza de Chapa, all of South Houston, Frances Garza of Alamo, and Daniel Garza of McAllen.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021, and from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Monday, October 4, 2021, at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
