Dana Trevino-Ramirez EDINBURG- Dana Trevino-Ramirez, 47, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength" Mark 12:30. As it was in life and throughout her lengthy and courageous battle she had her family by her side. Dana was a beautiful and gracious wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. Dana was born November 3, 1966 in Roma, Texas and spent the past 17 years in Edinburg. She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Pablo Trevino; paternal grandparents, Pedro and Jesusita Trevino and maternal grandparents Librado and Baudilia Garza. She is survived by her loving husband Rosendo Angel Ramirez of Edinburg. Together with Rosendo, Dana’s pride and joy were her children and granddaughter. Her sons Rosendo Angel, Jr. and Rodrigo Alfredo Ramirez; daughter Kristina Ann Treto (Joe Luis, Jr.) of Laverna, Texas and Granddaughter Kaitlyn Treto. Also surviving Dana are her mother, Maria Lilia of San Isidro; two brothers Pablo (Yvonne) Trevino, Jr. of Edinburg and Alfonso (Belinda) Trevino of San Isidro, Texas; and a sister, Dina (Mark Pierce) Trevino of Corpus Christi, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 PM, with a rosary at 7:00 PM today, October 10, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9:00 AM Saturday, October 11, 2014, at San Isidro Catholic Church in San Isidro, Texas. Interment will follow at Los Vela's Ranch in Rio Grande City. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
