EDINBURG – Jesus "Mimo" Trevino, Sr. entered into heaven on Saturday, July 16th, 2016, at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Green, TX, Mr. Trevino had lived in Edinburg most of his life.
If someone were to ask, "What he lived for," the reasons would be, his wife, his family and music. From the first bass guitar that Mimo's father, Guadalupe bought for him, his passion for music started. Music was more than just a hobby, it was something he loved, with his last ten years dedicated to Christian music. It brought him together on stage with his brothers in his younger years. Later in life, he shared the music with his two sons Rick and Jesse, Jr. He even began to pass the gift of music to his granddaughter. Mimo's wife Margie, his rock and the love of his life knew that and proudly supported him with his dreams and passions until the last day. She stood by him for 46 years of marriage and never left his side. She took care of him and loved him in sickness and health, and for this she was loved and admired by his siblings. Nothing mattered more to him than his wife, his family and music. We will miss you always and think of you when we hear the music you loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Guadalupe Trevino, Sr.; and a brother, Gilberto Trevino.
Mr. Trevino is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Margie Trevino; two sons, Ricardo (Nora Linda) Trevino and Jesus Trevino, Jr.; a granddaughter, Cynthia Trevino; eight siblings, Guadalupe (Ester) Trevino, Israel (Lolly) Trevino, Isabel Trevino, Ramiro (Rosie) Trevino, all of Edinburg, Rosie Carreon of San Juan, Luis (Terri) Trevino, Alfredo “Freddy” (Yoli) Trevino, Benny (Martha) Escobedo; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Trevino, all of Edinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
