UBALDO R. RAMIREZ, SR.

PHARR – Ubaldo R. Ramirez, Sr., 86, passed away after a lengthy illness, on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Nursing Home in McAllen.He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosalinda G. Ramirez; a son, Ubaldo Roger Ramirez, Jr.; his parents, Ubaldo and Clara Ramirez; and his four siblings.

Ubaldo is survived by his three children, Ruben Roel, Rene Antonio, and Viola Claritza Ramirez; a step- daughter, Norma Ortiz; and a step-daughter with his late wife, Aurora Garza; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Much appreciation to his long-time physician, Dr. Maximiliano Hernandez of Pharr; to the staff of DHR Critical Decision Unit and Windsor Arbor View both of Edinburg; to the staff of Alfredo Gonzalez TS Veterans Home; and Mr. Ramirez’ medical team from Gentiva Hospice for all their patience and assistance.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary, Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
