EDINBURG - Maria De La Luz Urbina, 96, went home to the Lord Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in La Feria, Maria lived in Edinburg all her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Santos Urbina Sr.; a granddaughter, Bianca Rae Urbina; and two siblings, Luis Rodriguez and Benita Rodriguez.
Maria is survived by five children, Rey Urbina of McAllen, Jose Manuel Urbina of Mission, Santos Urbina Jr., Martin Urbina, both of Edinburg, Manuel Urbina of Houston; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Guadalupe Maldonado of San Juan, and Jesus Martinez of Donna.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, August 9, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery in San Juan.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
