SAN JUAN – Joanne Helen Ureste, 52, died Friday, April 6, 2012.
Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Mrs. Ureste lived in San Juan most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Javier Ureste, Jr..
Joanne is survived by her parents, Deloris Parkins of Alamo and James Parkins of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Paulette Parkins of San Juan; two brothers, James Levi Parkins of Houston, Texas and Floyd David Parkins of Port Orchard,Washington.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, April 13, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Graveside service and interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
