Richard "Richie" Ureste

Richard "Richie" Ureste, 39, entered eternal rest Friday, August 13, 2021, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a life-long resident of Edinburg. Richie loved life and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, barbecuing, and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Richie was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
Richie is survived by his mother, Guadalupe Ureste; his father, Ricardo Ureste, both of Edinburg; two sisters, Nora (Fabio) Teixeira of San Antonio, Lori (Phillip) Wilson of Pflugerville; his partner, Marisela Diaz of Edinburg; five nephews, Phillip "Chachi" Wilson, Warrick "Wowo" Wilson, Jordan Richard Wilson, Nicolas Teixeira, Lucas Teixeira; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains will be at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
