CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - Hector Chavez Uresti, 58, died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Doctors Regional Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Born in Raymondville, Texas, Mr. Uresti had lived in Corpus Christi most of his life and was a member of Iglesia Bautista Horeb.
He is preceded in death by his father, Felipe Villa Uresti; a brother, Adan Chavez Uresti; and a daughter, Lisa Veronica Uresti.
Mr. Uresti is survived by a daughter, Monica Lee Uresti of Edinburg; his mother, Trine Chavez; a brother, Pablo Chavez Uresti of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Noemi Uresti of Nevada, Linda Dyre of San Antonio, Texas; his grandmother, Carlota Chavez; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, today, June 22, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 of McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
