ALAMO - Janie Uribe, 69, entered eternal rest Thursday, December 31, 2020, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Born in Santa Rosa, Janie had lived in Alamo most of her life and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Martin and Julia Ipina; and her grandmother, Maria Mercedes Cardoza.
Janie is survived by her husband, Esteban M. Uribe; three children, Esteban (Leonor) Uribe, Noelia Uribe, Raul (Teresa) Uribe; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and twelve siblings, Jesus Ipina, Martha Ocanas, Rosa Cuellar, Julia Silva, Martin Ipina, Juan Ipina, Connie Ledesma, Pablo Ipina, Robert Ipina, Linda Garcia, Irene Trevino, and Angie Miranda.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
