Eluterio Valdez

ELUTERIO VALDEZ EDINBURG - Eluterio Valdez, 77, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at his residence in Edinburg. Born in San Juan, Mr. Valdez had lived in Edinburg all of his life. Eluterio is preceded in death by his parents, Anastacio and Abundia Valdez; four brothers, Margarito, Domingo, Cresencio, and Isabel Valdez; three sisters, Juanita Ocanas, Micaela Juarez, and Paula Flores. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Guadalupe Valdez of Edinburg; one son, Erasmo Valdez of Edinburg; two daughters, Emelda (Mario) Solis and Elia (Robert) Gomez, both of Edinburg; seven grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; one brother, Eusebio Valdez of Edinburg; four sisters, Leandra Juarez, Teodora Mosqueda, both of Dallas, TX., Martina De Leon of Houston, TX., and Vicky Arteaga of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, June 7, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at, Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
