ROSARIO VARGAS EDINBURG - Rosario Vargas, 59, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Mrs. Vargas was born in Edinburg on October 8, 1953. She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Angel Ortiz; sisters, Dominga Yracheta, Juanita Garcia, Guadalupe Torres; and brother, Miguel Ortiz Rosario is survived by her husband, Javier Vargas; son, Javier (Roxanne) Vargas, Jr.; daughter, Jenny Rae (Mark) Vargas; two grandchildren, Adrian Vargas and Briana Vargas; mother, Inocencia Ortiz; seven siblings, Jose Ortiz, Vicente Ortiz, Carlos Ortiz, Jaime Ortiz, Leocardia Balderas, Minerva Olivarez, all of Edinburg, and Marcos Serna Ortiz of San Antonio Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. Rosary today, December 27, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
