JOSE VASQUEZ
EDINBURG – Jose Vasquez, 84, went home to our Lord Saturday, September 1, 2018, at his residence in Edinburg.
Mr. Vasquez was born in La Feria and lived in Edinburg most of his life. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by a son, Jose Antonio Vasquez.
Mr. Vasquez is survived by his loving wife, Evangelina Vasquez of Edinburg; two sons, David Vasquez of Edinburg, Jose (Michelle) Vasquez of Oklahoma; three daughters, Yvonne (Joe) Ysasaga of Slaton, TX, Irma (Javier) Franco of Elsa, Virginia (Alvaro Sandoval) Lopez of Edinburg; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Virginia and Ramiro Garza, both of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, September 3, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will take place at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018 , at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
