Maria "Maruca" Vasquez

Maria "Maruca" Vasquez, 79, entered eternal rest Friday, January 14, 2022, at McAllen Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Imelda Gould; her parents, Juan and Jesusa Perez; a sister, Juanita Acevedo; and a brother, Ruben Perez.
Mrs. Vasquez is survived by her husband, Juan Vasquez; a son, Juan Xavier (Carol) Vasquez; three grandchildren, Armando Xavier Vasquez, Nicolas Alexander Vasquez, Zachary Adam Vasquez; two siblings, Irene (Guadalupe) Salinas and Raul (Ninfa) Perez; and a sister in law, Florencia Perez.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
