CRISTINA VEGA EDINBURG - Cristina Vega, 95, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Vega Sr.; a daughter, Simona Vega; and a son, Eulogio Vega. Mrs. Vega is survived by 10 children, Pablo (Maria De Jesus) Vega, of Chicago, IL, Cruz (Martina) Vega Sr., of San Carlos, Maria Vega, Esperanza Hernandez, Ignacio (Virginia) Vega, Cristina (Oscar) Solis, all of Edinburg, Joe (Aurora) Vega, of Mission, Rufina Vega, of Elsa, Lupe Vega Jr., of San Juan, Rosa Maria (Cruz) Guerra, of Kansas City, MO; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, March 12, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
