JUANITA VEGA EDINBURG – Juanita Vega, 90, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at her residence in Edinburg. She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Vega, Sr.; and a son, Raul Roel Vega. Mrs. Vega is survived by eight sons, Aurelio (Eloisa) Vega, Jose Luis (Terry) Vega, Manuel (Sylvia Babe) Vega, Alberto (Lucy) Vega, Bernardo (Nereyda) Vega, all of Edinburg, Jesus (Mary) Vega, of Mission, Greg (Sally) Quintanilla, of Georgia, Javier (Anita) Vega, of La Villa; five daughters, Lorenza (+Adelmiro) Alaniz, Maria Elena Sosa, Juanita (Jesus) Jimenez, Josefina (+Reyes) Rosales and Alma (Adan) Moreno, all of Edinburg; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. rosary Wednesday, September 17,2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
