CONCEPCION VENTURA
SAN JUAN - Concepcion Ventura, 86, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010.
Born in El Capote Ranch, Texas, Mrs. Ventura had lived in Pharr most of her life and in San Juan since 1978. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Geronimo and Francisca Saldana; two sisters, Guadalupe Cantu and Francisca Patino; three brothers, Juan Saldana, Geronimo Saldana and Ramon Saldana; and a daughter, Maria Alicia Ventura.
Mrs. Ventura is survived by her husband, Francisco Ventura, of San Juan; three children, Gloria (Robert) Saenz, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Ester (Cipriano) Cardenas, of Brownsville, and Jesse (Leticia) Ventura, of McAllen; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maria Antonia Martinez, of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, September 30, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am Friday, October 1, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
