SAN JUAN – Ruben Vera, 62, went home to our Lord Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Born in Edinburg, he had lived in San Juan most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Consuelo Vera; and two brothers, Daniel and Arturo Vera.
Mr. Vera is survived by his loving wife Sandra Vera; five children, Ruben (Perla) Vera, Consuelo Vera, Veronica Vera, Arturo Vera, Denisse Vera, all of San Juan; three grandchildren; and seven siblings, Maria Elia (Guadalupe) Ramos of San Juan, Yolanda (Homero) Alafa, Sylvia (Reynaldo +) Ramirez, both of Edinburg, Olga (Raul) Zavala of McAllen, Rogelio Vera, Rodolfo (Syvlia) Vera, Ricardo (Yesenia) Vera, all of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
