VICTORIANO “CUATE” GARZA, JR.
Linn- San Manuel - Victoriano “Cuate” Garza, Jr., 61, passed away to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, where he was surrounded by his loving family.
Cuate was born on Nov. 11, 1962 to Victoriano Garza, Sr. and Ascencion Garza in Edinburg, Texas and lived in Linn, Texas his entire life. Cuate worked with Guerra Brothers, Weyerhaeuser Paper Co, Wyatt Ranches and lastly with Rush Paving.
Victor was a loving father, and a guiding force in the lives of his three cherished sons, leaving behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and inspiration that will forever echo in the hearts of his sons & those who were fortunate enough to know him. Born and raised in the enchanting landscapes of the Rio Grande Valley, Victor was a man of the soil, instilled with the virtues of hard work, resilience, and a deep appreciation for family values. His unwavering commitment to his three sons served as a shining example of paternal dedication and love. A natural athlete in his youth, Victor not only excelled on the playing fields, but he also recognized the profound lessons sports could impart. Believing in the power of athletics to mold character, his smile brightened as he saw his sons excel in sports, leadership, sportsmanship too. As we mourn the loss of a loving father, we also celebrate the enduring legacy he leaves behind in his three sons.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ascencion Garza; grandparents, Severo and Margarita Garza; Antonio and Anita Garza.
Cuate is survived by his three sons, Victoriano Antonio Garza, Victoriano Garza III, Aliber Esteban Garza; former spouse, Arminda Lozano; father, Victoriano Garza Sr.; five siblings, twin sister, Sonia Garza, Sandra Garza, Benito (Yvonne) Garza, Belinda (Ruben) Rodriguez, Dina (Mauricio) Rivas; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. with an 11 a.m. rosary Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at St. Anne Catholic Church in San Manuel.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Linn-San Manuel Fire Department in his honor.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
