GREGORIA VILLANUEVA DONNA — Gregoria Villanueva, 78, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at her residence in Donna. She was born in Villa De Guadalupe, San Luis Potosi, Mexico and had lived in Donna most of her life. Mrs. Villanueva is preceded in death by her husband, Marciano Villanueva; and her parents, Mariano and Exiquia Ortiz. She is survived by 10 children, Maria D. (Mauro) Treviño, of San Juan, Norberta (Tomas) Ortiz, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Leticia (Samuel) Salinas, of Edinburg, Cristina Villanueva, Rosalva (Jorge) Villanueva, Diana (Gregorio) Gutierrez, all of Donna, Jose Francisco (Maria Guadalupe) Villanueva, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Alberto (Esmeralda) Villanueva, Luis Mariano Villanueva, and Pedro (Ana) Villanueva, all of Donna; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 17, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
