Macario Villanueva, 100, died Sunday, November 19, 2017, at his residence in Alamo.
Mr. Villanueva was born in Villa de Guadalupe, San Luis Potosi, and he formerly lived in California. He had lived in Alamo since 1987 and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia T. Villanueva; and a sister, Juanita Llanas.
Mr. Villanueva is survived by nine children, Maria Isabel Villanueva, Dominga Villanueva, both of Alamo, Maximiano (Maria Rosa) Villanueva, Erasmo (Frances) Villanueva, Ana Maria V. (Ramiro) Novoa, Francisco Villanueva, Jose G. (Amelia) Villanueva, all of Greenfield, CA, Josefa V. Espinoza of San Jose, CA, Julia LaPlante Villanueva of Watsonville, CA; 24 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 21, 2017, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Resurrection Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
