Marcelina "Ma Chelina" Villanueva

MARCELINA “MA CHELINA” VILLANUEVA SAN JUAN – Marcelina “Ma Chelina” Villanueva, 84, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at her residence in San Juan. Mrs. Villanueva was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and had lived in San Juan all of her adult life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Magdaleno Villanueva, who died in 1973. Mrs. Villanueva is survived by five sons, Jesus Villanueva, David Villanueva, both of Edinburg, Magdaleno Villanueva, Jr., Cruz Alberto Villanueva, both of San Juan, Alejandro Villanueva, of Takoma Park, Maryland; two daughters, Gloria Villanueva, Rosalinda Escobar, both of San Juan; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, today April 18, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
