VICENTA VILLANUEVA
PHARR – Vicenta Villanueva, 88, died Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Mrs. Villanueva was born in Dr. Arroyo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and had lived in Pharr most of her life. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Villanueva, in 1996; and a son, Jesus Villanueva, in 1979.
Mrs. Villanueva is survived by eight children, Gloria Villanueva, Jose L. (Maribel) Villanueva, Olga (Pablo) Villescas, Genovevo (Lupita) Villanueva, all of Pharr, Sergio (Mary) Villanueva, Elena (Antonio) Rodriguez, both of McAllen, Alicia (Oscar) Garza, of Sharyland, Eleazar (Cecilia) Villanueva, of San Antonio; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 9 am Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
