CANDELARIO "EL BORRADO" VILLARREAL
ALAMO - Candelario "El Borrado" Villarreal, born February 2, 1926, in Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, 95, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at his residence in Alamo.
Candelario was a humble, honest, hardworking, caring, family man, loved to grill, cook, and tend to his pets, but most of all loved his family.
He is preceded by his wife, Maria Jesusa Villarreal; and his parents, Antenojes and Antonia Villarreal.
Mr. Villarreal is survived by his nine children, Gregorio (Domitila) Macias, Francisca (Rodrigo) Villarreal, Juanita (Manuel) Ibarra, Ines (Ruben) Silva, Maria Antonia Villarreal, Candelario (Esther) Villarreal, Jr., Miguel Angel Villarreal, Corina (Nick) Salas, and Maricela (Juan Carlos) Yañez; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Emma Medina and Graciela Villarreal.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Serving as pallbearers will be Candelario Villarreal Jr., Mike Villarreal, Michael Villarreal, Jacob Villarreal, Becky Silva, Ruben Silva III, and Martha Ibarra.
